Charl Lochner Attorneys is a veteran legal practice based in Pretoria with a long history of serving clients with professionalism, care, and dedication. The firm specialises in family law including maintenance applications, divorce matters, court cases and most importantly matters involving the Children’s Act and children’s rights.

Operating from Pretoria’s Northern Suburbs, the practice is committed to providing reliable legal support tailored to each client’s needs. In addition to family law, the firm also provides services in litigation, contract law, criminal law, deceased estates and antenuptial contracts.

Charl Lochner’s professional journey

Charl began his career in 1980 as a detective in the South African Police Service fraud and theft unit. From 1982 to 1983 he served as a public prosecutor in Welkom where he dealt with child related cases.

Between 1984 and 1985 Charl served as district public prosecutor for criminal matters and was later promoted to senior public prosecutor.

In 1988 Charl received the honour of serving as a magistrate in three different courts including the Criminal Court, Civil Court and Children’s Court. During this time he also served as an advisor to the Minister of Justice.

From 1993 to 1995 Charl practised as an advocate in Pretoria and KwaZulu-Natal. From 1996 to the present he has built and maintained a successful legal practice in Hatfield, Pretoria.
